Lean Lena Lately: Personal Post

So… hello, friends 🙂

It’s been a while… I needed to take some time off this blog (well, “some time” being the entire month of January, to be precise) to get my life stuff all sorted out and to re-focus.

It’s been quite a long time since I posted anything personal on this blog as it has grown and become more of a resource website for instructors teaching TRX® and indoor cycling or Spinning®. Today’s post is personal. VERY personal. We’ll be back to our regular broadcasting after this one, but I do owe you this post so that you know what’s going on and where all this is going.

Here we go…Continue Reading

Thermos Connected Hydration Water Bottle Review

Hey guys! It’s Tasty Tuesday!

For my Tasty Tuesday post I’m talking about hydration here today.

Why you might ask? Because water is vitally important for our bodies just as food and to me – there’s no better and tastier drink than water. I’m not into sweet beverages or basically anything else other than water (maybe with a little bit of lemon or lime). With very few exceptions water is what I drink before/during/after my workouts also.

Now, gather round, my gadget heads and technology geeks. 🙂

Profile and Playlist for Indoor Cycling: Muscle Magic

Hey guys! Time to share another profile and playlist with you.

This week’s indoor cycling / Spinning® class profile and playlist is called “Muscle Magic”. It’s designed to build muscle endurance and strength – all by climbing those 4 hills I included into this 45 minute class.

I always enjoy both teaching it, and riding it with my class. I particularly like the playlist for this class – I think it created a great atmosphere  in class. Even my usual Chatty Betty’s were quiet climbing those hills 🙂

Cycling Class Profile and Playlist: Ain’t No Mountain High Enough!

Hey-hey, guys! The weekly indoor cycling class profile and playlist post is here for you 🙂

This time I kind of “slacked” on creating a brand new cycling class profile and playlist from scratch. Well, not entirely. 🙂 I did something fun and meaningful for me as an instructor.

What I did for this class was this: I took the playlist and routine for my Ride #2, yes, that’s right – it was the very second class I ever taught! I then went through the routine and changed it up to improve it based on what I learned in the past years since I first taught this class.

It was a great experience – I think I’ll be doing this every few months. It’s wonderful to see the progress I’ve made since then.

Anyway, I kept the playlist the same and “re-mastered” the class profile.

As you probably noticed from the class name, it involves a lot of climbing. But hey, ain’t no mountain high enough for my super riders!
