Hey guys! Happy Friday!

How has your week been? My time these days is pretty much equally divided between blogging tasks, getting ready for and teaching my classes and (drumroll)…. studying for my CPT (Certified Personal Trainer) exam. Yes, I went along that route 🙂

I’ve been studying for 4 weeks now and it’s been an amazing experience and such an incredible addition to my knowledge base from Yoga and TRX® trainings!

Having started the course I decided I would try and test it all on myself. I did an assessment on myself, and next came the task of putting together a training program.

Just as life would have it, it was then that the guys from MP45 program reached out to me asking if I would like to review their training/nutrition program! That was absolutely perfect! So I took the opportunity to review the program and tailor it to myself using the knowledge I am gaining from my CPT course.

MP45 Program Review

So, what is MP45?

MP45 is a 45 day program that includes a workout guide, a nutrition guide (both over 100 pages long), a 45 day plan with daily meal plans and workouts AND the workout music and a cookbook as a bonus. It is a digital program you can download to your computer or tablet/phone to carry with you everywhere you go.

Training

The training part of the program is super detailed, well written and easy to understand for beginners. You get a very detailed Training Guide (over 150 pages) to use as a reference, which explains the logic and science behind the training principles of the program and breaks down the technique.

Every training session in the digital 45 Day Plan starts with a warmup, includes resistance training/cardio session (depending on the day in the program) and a cool down/stretching routine. The program is designed for you to gradually progress over the 45 days – both with the weight you’re lifting and the exercises you’re performing and their intensity. What I liked the most about the way it is written is the detail the program creators went into describing it and laying it out. Every single one of the 45 days gives you a detailed workout plan. The program is subdivided into phases – each of which focuses on certain aspects of training and progressively takes you to the next level.

Nutrition

In addition to the daily meal and snack plan for each day described in the 45 Day Plan document, you will get a digital guide on nutrition for the program to use as a reference or to read before you begin. That is also a very detailed and comprehensive document explaining all the “why’s” behind the nutritional aspect of the program.

As a bonus, you get the digital cookbook with 100 delicious and easy to make recipes!

I am definitely impressed with MP45 Program! Just getting started as a personal trainer I am going to use it as a base to start off my own regimen – it could not have come at a better time for me!

Here’s what I think are the best features of the program:

  • Great detail of instruction.
  • All your meals and workouts are planned for you – HUGE time saver for a busy schedule!
  • You can speak to a live trainer any time and ask any questions about the program on their website.
  • Downloadable to your phone/tablet so you can take it to the gym with you.
  • Cookbook! Love cookbooks!

I’ll tell you what, even if you don’t follow the program exactly when you purchase it, all the information you get for your money is well worth it.

Give it a try!

Stay fit and well fed, my friends.

Lena

Comments

  1. Hey Lena!

Did you try the program, by any chance?

I recently started the program on 2/29/16 and when I was looking for reviews I couldn’t find that many. But now that I’m looking a month later it looks like more have popped up, including yours!

I was looking for other reviews to compare my progress and see if I am progressing at a good pace, or if my results are lackluster. I’ve been posting my daily logs with picture updates at http://mymp45review.com if anyone else who stumbles on this review wants to share results and motivate each other!

    Cheers,
    Frank
