Hey-hey! Happy Tasty Tuesday to you ๐Ÿ™‚

So let’s talk smoothies today!

I’m not really that much into smoothies once ย the warm weather is gone. Winter smoothie? With ice in it? Yeah I don’t think so ๐Ÿ™‚

But strangely enough, I’ve been craving them lately. So much so that I decided to incorporate at least one smoothie a day into my diet for 7 days.

I am a strong believer that nothing can replace a meal. Your brain does not perceive liquid food as food, but as a drink. So I just had my smoothies instead of snacks – mid morning or mid afternoon.

Way back after FitBloggin’14 Ninja Kitchen kindly sent me their Nutri Ninja Professional 900 Wattsย to try.

smoothies

It took a while for it to get to me, and then it took me a while as I set on the quest of trying to make every possible smoothie in the world with my new Ninja ๐Ÿ™‚

Nutri Ninja was of great help in this quest of 7 smoothies in 7 days! With 18 oz and 24 oz cups it made blending smoothies a breeze both for one and for two people, and I just love being able to make a smoothie, take the cup off the blender, put the sip and seal lid on it and be on my way. Super time savior!

smoothies

I would like to thank Ninja Kitchen once again for this generous gift!

So, back to 7 smoothies in 7 days. Here’sย  what it looked like ๐Ÿ™‚

{ONE}ย  Very Berry

smoothie

This is as easy as it gets: I buy the frozen berry medleyย at Giant (blueberries, strawberries, blackberries and raspberries) to use for this one (about 1 1/2 cup), 1 cup almond milk + protein powder of your choice for extra nutrition boost. This smoothie is an awesome solution for a super busy morning.

{TWO} Pear-It-Up

smoothies

Ingredients: 1 pear, 1 banana, 1 cup almond milk, 4-5 almonds or 1 tbsp. almond butter, protein powder (optional) for extra nutrition boost.

{THREE} Watermelon Mint

smoothies

This is my all time favorite! I just love the fresh combo of watermelon and mint.

Ingredients: 1 1/2 cup watermelon (peeled and cubed), 1 tbsp. honey, 3-4 mint leaves (fresh or frozen).

{FOUR}ย  PB + Chocolate

smoothies

You just can’t beat this all time classic taste of peanut butter and chocolate!

Ingredients: 1 banana, 1 cup almond milk, 1 scoop GNC Complete Protein in Natural Chocolate, 2 tbsp. PB2 powdered peanut butterย (or regular peanut butter), 2-3 ice cubes (optional).

{FIVE} Sweet Potato!

Yep, you read that right. ๐Ÿ™‚ This recipe was suggested to me by Ninja Kitchen when I told them my favorite ingredient was sweet potato. I honestly didn’t think they would come back with anything because sweet potato is not your most common ingredient in smoothies ๐Ÿ™‚ But Ninja strikes again, and voila – get the recipe here.

smoothies

{SIX} Orange!

Now that oranges are in season, I’m getting some every time I go grocery shopping. They are just too juicy and delicious this time of year to resist!

As a result of buying oranges every time, I have some that sit in my fruit basket for a few days and need to be used. So I embarked on a quest (again) to find a good smoothie recipe incorporating oranges. Found it! Ninja rules ๐Ÿ™‚

smoothies

Mine didn’t turn out as orange, but that’s through my own fault – I used bloody oranges and prepped my smoothie the night before and refrigerated it, then blended it in the morning.

{SEVEN} Lean Green Machine

smoothies

Ingredients: 1 cup spinach (fresh or frozen), 1 kiwi (peeled and cubed), 1 celery stalk, 1 tbsp. honey, 1 banana, 2-3 big ice cubes.

And there you have it, guys – 7 smoothies for 7 days!

Your turn! Tell us what you’ve been cooking lately ๐Ÿ™‚
