Ziploc Bag Marinated Chicken Legs Recipe

Ingredients
  • 12 chicken legs or an equivalent amount of other chicken meat
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 1 cup mayo (home made or store bought)
  • 1 tbsp. dried basil leaves
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 Gal. Ziploc bag
Instructions
  1. Put chicken legs in Ziploc bag.
  2. Add onion, garlic, mayo, basil and pepper.
  3. Lock the bag and mix the contents well until the chicken is coated.
  4. Leave in the fridge for 8-24 hours. If you get a chance flip the bag over ever few hours.
  5. When ready to cook, preheat oven to 325F.
  6. Put the chicken legs into a greased 9x13 pan.
  7. Pour the leftover marinade on top. THEN add salt and mix well in the pan.
  8. Stick them in the oven and go about your normal household business.
  9. Bake for 60 minutes.
  10. Turn the broiler on for the last 3-5 minutes of baking time.
  11. Serve hot.
