Hey hey, my fitness friends!
I bet you didn’t expect a “What’s on my Plate” Wednesday post from me on Thursday! Well, guess what? It is happening. And since I missed the exercise recap post this week, I am combining the two!
Here we go, eating highlights and exercise recap of the past week or so!
Breakfasts mostly involved oatmeal as you can see below. Can’t help it – I LOOOOOOVE oatmeal!
Lunch is my most favorite meal of the day! Mostly because I take my time to get it ready the night before so I could eat healthy at work the next day. A lot of times it is leftovers from dinner the night before and somehow the leftovers get more delicious overnight, don’t you think? 🙂
With my super busy nights the past few weeks (PT + workouts), my wonderful husband has completely taken over the dinner making process, which I am incredibly grateful for. So, dinners below are mostly his ideas and implementation:
And snacks…snacks! I love my snacks. Now, what you are about to see below happened before I started my Weight Watchers experiment, ok? 🙂
Now that we’re done with the fun part of eating all this goodness, let me tell you how I had to sweat and work to get it out 🙂
Mondays are officially back on track as “Spin with Jim” nights – he is finally back from having summer off and we’ve had a couple Monday nights of spinning already:
Tuesday is the PT night. I am happy to see some improvement in the way my right knee feels and sounds…and – some calories get burnt in those sessions, too! 🙂
On Wednesdays I usually have my weights lifting and strength training session with Jim followed by yoga with Jim (you can tell I spend a lot of time with Jim at the gym 🙂 ), but I couldn’t make it for weights last week, so I just went for yoga:
Thursday was the PT day again!
Do you remember how I was complaining here about my PT telling me to wear shoe size 9 1/2 and how I didn’t know how I was going to walk in those?
Well, I made my physical therapist proud last week and bought these babies in 8 1/2:
And no – I didn’t kill myself walking in those 🙂 They’re actually pretty comfortable to walk in!
Friday night is always a yoga night, you know.
Friday also brought some good news from my Weight Watchers meeting – lost 1.2 lb that week!
Saturday – I usually do my “Saturday Double” – spinning + yoga, but last week I was so exhausted by my non-stop running around and not getting a rest day, I decided to sleep in and just shoot for yoga at 10.45 am. Tell you what, THAT was for some reason a beast yoga class! I don’t think I ever burnt that many calories in a yoga class (well, except for Vinyasa Flow with Lisa):
On Sunday I finally had my weight lifting and strength training session with Jim for that week!
Now, something is obviously going on with my body – and that something is GOOD! Look at that calorie burn! 638!!! I was sooooo tired after this workout, too! Hubs said he had never seen me that tired after a workout.
And that pretty much sums up my past week, friends!
What did you do to stay active last/this week?
Stay fit and take care!
