Good morning, my Tasty Tuesday Partiers! How have you been here without me?
It’s finally Tasty Tuesday and I’m back with my new tasty post and a linkup at the bottom of it for you!
Every Tuesday I post a recipe, a collection of recipes, a restaurant review or anything related to food. There is then a linkup at the end of the post where you can add links to your food-related blog posts! The linkup stays open for a week – right until the next one comes around. How awesome is that?
Don’t forget to check out other link up participants and there’s ONLY ONE RULE TO THE LINKUP – link back to this blog or grab the link up badge from the sidebar. Let’s spread the word so we can have more people checking out your posts next week! Please, respect this rule – every week I put my time and effort into creating this linkup, and so do bloggers who come to linkup their posts. Linking back = spreading the word = giving back.
I don’t want to be mean, but I will remove your link if there is no link back – because I want the best for those of you who come back here every week. I want this linkup to grow for YOU.
So work with me on that one 🙂
We also now have the Tasty Tuesday Pinterest Board where you can pin your posts every week. To be able to do that, please follow me on Pinterest and let me know in comments that you did, and your Pinterest username so I could send you an invite.
Also! Right below this post there is a sign up form you can use to opt in for receiving an e-mail reminder every Monday about the next Tasty Tuesday Linkup Party. Fill it out if you’d like that and I’ll remind you to put together a post for the next TT linkup.
Anywho. I’m giving you an update on our kitchen remodeling progress today.
My kitchen is still in “destruction mode” – meaning it is partially destroyed. But we’ve made some progress.
We had this huge cabinet on the wall – it is original to the house (our house is over 100 years old), but it was in a very bad shape other than the front frame – all rotten and old.
So my step son re-built it, keeping the original front frame. We put it back up but on a different wall/spot in the kitchen where it is much easier to access. Here’s the before and after picture of the corner we put it in:
So. How do you like my minty green walls? 🙂 I think this color looks great with my kitchen cabinets.
Back to which – we polished and put our old key hooks back on the side of this big cabinet:
My knives migrated as well – we moved the magnetic knife strips from that ugly wall (which is not ugly any more), to the side of the small cabinets. I love having them there!
We still have ways to go (still no ceiling), but it is so nice to be able to see progress and to be able to move at least some stuff out of my dining room and into its place in the kitchen.
The walls are now painted, and basically what’s left is the drop ceiling, paneling for the chimney, counter tops and the floor. Nothing much, really 🙂
Now back to you, my dears! Here’s today’s Tasty Tuesday featured recipe 🙂
Meet Love @ Munchkin Time. I absolutely LOVE her blog (pun intended :)). She has a super adorable little helper in her kitchen and AMAZING food pictures. Definitely check out her blog – you won’t regret clicking trough.

Farin, thanks! I have no idea – we’ve had it for years 🙂
I love that you were able to save at least part of that cabinet since it was original to the house! The renovation is looking good 🙂 It will be such a great feeling when you’re done.

Thank you, Chaitali! I love that cabinet too – it is made of beautiful wood (I thinks it’s cherry). I’m glad we could save it.
I love the color of the walls! 🙂 Your kitchen is coming along nicely!
And, no, I don’t have 2 crockpots….I have 3!!! I had 4 but one got broken in the move *sob* and we haven’t replaced it yet.
