Hello, friends!
I hope you had a wonderful Memorial Day Weekend or just a nice weekend if your country doesn’t celebrate this holiday, and a good start to the short work week.
We had a busy couple days here…
As I told you before, we were working on our new patio this weekend. Here is what it looked like just when we started on Saturday and took off the layer of weeds we had there:

Of course it still needs some finishing touches – brushing off the sand, replacing the crappy fence, etc.. but it looks so much better than it used to!
It is unbelievable how much work, effort, and dedication my husband put into this project over those 3 days. I think he lifted like a 1000 lb (those pavers are really heavy), we made about 10 trips to Home Depot and Lowe’s, and both of us are really sore now in our backs, arms and shoulders. But it was totally worth it! One more prove that I am married to the most wonderful guy in the world (he had never built a patio before – this was the first time and what an awesome job!).
On Sunday afternoon we took a break from our home improvement project and I had a chance to go to my yoga class at the Y with Jim. Usually this class is packed with people, but since it was Memorial Day Weekend, most of the yogis were out of town 🙂 That gave me a chance to take a picture of our room while no one was there:
Monday morning was the Memorial Day Parade. Every year they go down our street – so I have a chance to take pictures without ever leaving my porch!
