Hey guys! Happy Friday ๐
It’s been a while since I just posted about 5 random Friday thoughts and things so that’s what I’m doing today – totally random post with totally random things that I like, dislike, hate, love, etc..
{ONE} Cuteness
You guys remember I went to FitBloggin’ this past summer with my friend Jennifer aka A Hungry Runner? Soooo… This conference is more like a family reunion ๐ Since I was new to the family, I made new friends and joined a fewย new online communities after the conference, which in turn got me into a fun FitBloggin’ Secret Santa gift exchange ๐
As always – I have no problem finding trouble to get into ๐
So my secret Santa sent me this terrarium!
I think that is the cutest thing ever! And – I got two of those! Thank you, my Secret Santa!
{TWO} M400
Blogging has brought SO many wonderful people into my life! I mean REAL life – people I met through blogging who have had a huge impact on what’s going on in my real life. Like Alan.
If it wasn’t for Alan, I wouldn’t have gotten this super AWESOME Christmas present:
This here, my dears, is a new Polar M400.
May I just say it ROCKS? For starters – it is a GPS sports watch with Heart Rate Monitor (chest strap) AND built in activity/sleep tracker.
It is absolutely spectacular! So many handy features, super comfortable to wear, does not break the bank AND it is Polar = quality and fun to use.
Alan, thank you for you know what and I do owe you a BIG hug when I see you in Denver next year ๐
{THREE} My Happy Place
Right about here:
I’ve been teaching every other Monday, a few Saturdays here and there, and every Sunday here at the Y and it never fails – however bad my day is – this place and the people I come here with always make me happy.
If you come to my classes in this room – THANK YOU.
I really appreciate being able to help you and you helping me reach goals, push out of the comfort zone, climb those hills, sprint to those finish lines and ACHIEVE!
{FOUR} Happy Place #2
I’m getting more and more comfortable teaching TRX. I got a few class routines laid out andย my schedule all figured out (hello, Wednesday 5:30 AM wake up).
I got all my gear lined up, too ๐ And all my devices set up.
On Wednesdays I usually have full house with the 6:00 AM Cross Fit people staying for my class, and on Thursday I usually have 1-3 people in class, which is a great chance for meย to practice my cueing and give my students more attention as there are so few of them.
I love seeing my students push themselves out of their comfort zone and strive to be better, fitter and stronger.
Help them and watch them achieve those goals is one of the most rewarding things I’ve ever done in my life.
{FIVE} Handmade Jewelry
Did you guys know I used to make jewelry? No, not just jewelry. I’d make beads like these out of polymer clay:
And then make a bracelet like this out of them:
Or just make plain beads and make this necklace:
Yep, I made all those pieces in the pictures above ๐
Not sure why I stopped doing it… But this morning I found a baggie with some of the jewelry I made a long-long time ago, and suddenly remembered how cool it was to be creating something from scratch. I might re-visit my basement one day with all the jewelry making stuff berried there somewhere ๐
So that’s 5, my friends!
Talk to me: what are the things you’re loving lately?
Have a great weekend and create beautiful things!
