What’s New or What I Did in the Past Couple Weeks

Hello, my fit friends!

I have been totally neglecting my blog in the past 2 weeks, and I am very sorry about that. I missed writing so much!

I have had a couple weeks from hell at work, and with my exercise routine and family I had absolutely no time or energy for blogging. I did try to keep you up-to-date with other social media (Instagram, Twitter and Facebook), though. I hope you didn’t miss me too much and I will try not to take such long breaks from blogging any more πŸ™‚

So, here I am with the highlights of the past 2 weeks or so.

On the Food Front:

One of the nights as all four of us were having dinner together, Simon suddenly announced he had decided to become sort of a vegetarian… “Sort of” because he will eat seafood, fish, eggs, milk, etc..just stop eating red meat. After giving it a couple seconds worth of thought both Carmen and I decided to do that, too. And that was how in a few minutes my hubs had the rest of his family turning all vegetarian on him πŸ™‚

I have always loved myself a good steak or BBQ pork ribs. Don’t get me wrong, I love meat. Why am I doing this, you ask? Because I’m curious about what it will make me feel like. So I am doing it. I will still eat fish, seafood, eggs, milk, cheese and chicken. Just getting off pork, beef, veal and stuff like that.

So, having decided that, we have started a new chapter in our family meals cooking and grocery shopping πŸ™‚

For the past couple weeks or so the following dinners happened that were”vegetarian Hershey style”:

Flounder in egg batter with rice and green peas on the side.

I also have a bunch of healthy breakfast ideas for you, my friends, based on what I’ve been eating lately:

And lunches:

And, of course, the most important meal of the day – snack πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

Snacks

Whew! Food report done to you, guys πŸ™‚ I think I ate pretty well the past couple weeks…Well, that is if you don’t count that cup of Auntie Anne’s Pretzel Nuggets of course… πŸ™‚

Anyway, I have decided that from now one I will post about my meals here once a week on my What’s On My Plate Wednesday rather than posting every day.

On the Fitness Front:

I kept doing my #plankaday until I reached 5 minutes.

Plankaday roundup

I was very happy, but kind of board…I decided to challenge myself even further. I have started the plank a day challenge all over and this time I am really-really-really keeping a perfect form while in plank – no excuses. So I started all over πŸ™‚

Those are the 2 minutes of my very perfect plank!

Also, a few spin classes happened over the past couple weeks.

All the while doing yoga:

One more fitness related news is that starting September, 6 I am joining Weight Watchers for 14 weeks. I track my food and exercise anyway wit Lose it!Β and I have looked into doing it with WW in the very beginning when I was choosing the online tools for what I was trying to achieve. WW seems overpriced to me. Well, the nice thing about the 14 weeks I am going to start in September is that I am getting it for free since my company is paying for it, and we all get free WW e-tools. So I am going for it πŸ™‚

On the Family Front:

Little kitty has been neutered this Monday…Poor little guy, he is still a little under the weather, but he’s feeling much better than he did on Monday… The hardest part of it for me was that he wasn’t allowed to eat for over 24 hours. I mean have you seen those eyes looking up at you asking for food? That was terrible! I’m so glad he’s almost back to normal now.

What exciting things have you been up to the past couple weeks?

Stay fit, friends!
