What’s New or What I Did in the Past Couple Weeks

Hello, my fit friends!

I have been totally neglecting my blog in the past 2 weeks, and I am very sorry about that. I missed writing so much!

I have had a couple weeks from hell at work, and with my exercise routine and family I had absolutely no time or energy for blogging. I did try to keep you up-to-date with other social media (Instagram, Twitter and Facebook), though. I hope you didn’t miss me too much and I will try not to take such long breaks from blogging any more πŸ™‚

So, here I am with the highlights of the past 2 weeks or so.Continue Reading

Back to Blogging, Working Out and Eating Better

Hello, my fitness friends!

I am finally back to my blog – after a bad cold, couple days in New York City and celebrating my husband’s birthday.

There is so much to share about the past few days! I just wanted to check in and let you know I am ok, back home safely and will be posting about my trip and hubs’ birthday celebration soon.

For now, I just wanted to share the recipe for the pesto that I promised you in my previous post.Continue Reading

HOT HOT HOT or a little bit of the Monday Madness

Hello-hello, friends!

How is your Tuesday going? Mine is busy-busy-busy all the way around.

The crazy heat we’ve had here in the past few days really takes it out of me and I am sleepy by 10.00 pm (!!!)

We go to the pool every night and it is the only thing that “saves the day” – so refreshing! We don’t have central air in the house – just window AC units in the bedrooms, so Carmen spends a lot of time in her room while when it is cooler she likes hanging out with us downstairs. How Simon doesn’t want an AC in his room is beyond me, but he keeps saying his room has a perfect temperature πŸ™‚Continue Reading

Spinning, Summer Vegetable Salad Recipe and More

Hello, friends!

I had an absolutely wonderful spinning class on Monday night! I am still taking it easy, but what I noticed is that even if you’re trying to take it easy, your legs are still as strong as they are and go at their own pace. No matter how hard I try to make it easier, my legs have their own comfort zone they stay in/go out of. And it is a wonderful feeling to realize that your mind-set comfort zone is different from your actual physical comfort zone! So here’s the recap of Monday night’s spinning adventure:Continue Reading

Weekend Recap – Lots of Good Food, Spinning+Yoga, and Seafood Pasta Recipe

Good Monday afternoon, friends (I hope it is good for you)!

I have had a wonderful weekend with my husband (no kids this weekend) – a lot of pool and sun time, good food and exercise.

It feels so good to be back to my routine! My leg is almost completely healed, so I did my Saturday double this weekend! I tried to take it easy (especially in my spinning class), but somehow I still managed to burn my usual calories and do the usual distance almost during that one. Must be because it was Robin’s class and she ROCKS!Continue Reading

Carlisle Family YMCA community day photo, dinner on fire and healthy lunch

Hello, friends!

Last night was a “hot” night at our house for many reasons. First of all, it was hot outside – not as hot as last weekend, but still pretty uncomfortable.

Secondly, last night’s spinning class with Melissa was HOT! I don’t know why but this time I was sweating more from the heat in the room than from the workout. The class was great though, as always! I love Melissa’s classes because they are paced in a way to give you an opportunity to check your limits without forcing you to. In other words, it is not a “Go! Go! Go!” class where you have no time to adjust/think/catch a breath, but the one where you get a chance to ask yourself: “Can I do better? Can I go faster? Can I have more pressure on the wheel?” And the wonderful thing about her class is that there is “room” for it in the routine. Love Melissa’s class!Continue Reading

Weekend Round-Up: grilled vegetables recipe, Saturday spinning, and lots of pool time

Hello, friends!

I hope you had a wonderful weekend. Mine was hectic, busy but a lot of fun!

It started with a “weekly Saturday double” – spinning and yoga at the Y. This time my favorite instructor (Jim) was teaching both spinning and yoga, and my hubby decided to come to the spinning class with me (how awesome is that?)!Continue Reading
